Ozzy Bear

Would anyone believe that something this cute could be so naughty? He ATE A SOCK on Friday night and we had to take him to the emergency vet for some emergency vomiting.

I'm happy to report that he is absolutely fine. I am unhappy to report that it cost $170. Bad dog!

Our Nation's Capital

I had such a fun time in DC this weekend. We had a wonderful shower - the new mother-to-be looked so cute! She also got some amazing gifts, including this:

(Mysterio predicted that little M will be a monkey wrangler)

and this:

I thought this website was so cute! Also, our host made tasty egg salad, a banana cake, and a fruit salad in the shape of a baby carriage.

The only downside to the entire weekend was Airtran. All told, I had over 6 hours of delays both coming and going. I give them an F+.

Here are some pics from our photo session with the new dad-to-be on Saturday night.

I think the King mask is amazing. Our host said he surprised his wife with it by delivering breakfast in bed to her wearing it one morning. I think she screamed.

Babies

This weekend, I am heading to DC for my friend's baby shower. It's going to be so much fun because I haven't seen her since before she got pregnant. What a fun shock it will be to see someone who is going through such a wonderful transformation.

In the meantime, here in ATL, we are all on baby watch for my good friend whose little boy is due this weekend. I'm so excited to finally get to meet him!

Hello Again

Holy cow! Has it seriously been a year since I last posted? I can't believe it! I am sorry, friends, for letting so much time go by.

Lately, D and I have been busy working on the house. We are having a July 4th party tomorrow (oh how I wish all of my out-of-town ladies could be there too!), and the original plan was to try and have most of the work done by then so that we could show off to our friends and family.

Unfortunately, the showing off part has not worked out exactly as planned. We have now painted the living room for the THIRD time, and we admitted to each other today that neither one of us likes it! We started off with what we thought was a pretty blue color but, once applied to the wall, turned out to be a definite lavender. Then we tried a robin's egg blue. The color was true to it's name - it just looked horrible on the wall (imagine pepto bismal, only blue). Now we have painted everything what we hoped would be a sunny yellow. It's pretty, but just too bright. It looks like some sort of crazy dessert. Who knew that re-decorating was this hard?

Fortunately, some of our other attempts at improvements have worked out better. We re-painted and re-decorated the master bathroom, and I think it looks really cute. It must be easier to do a smaller space? We also got a wooden fence installed in the backyard, which has given us much more privacy from the road and made us more comfortable leaving Oz outside. D and his dad have also been working really hard on the yard, and it looks so pretty and neat. I love it!

Well, I hope all of you have a wonderful July Fourth! If you come to my house, please do your best to ignore the crazy yellow living room.
